Students can download a selection of confirmations and transcripts for free in Ugla under My Ugla -> Confirmations and transcripts.
On some devices, you may need to try a different browser to download the self-service documents in Ugla.
It is not possible to obtain certificates via the Smáuglan mobile app.
Former students no longer have access to Ugla. Transcripts and confirmations must therefore be requested via the University Centre's Service Desk.
For graduates of the University of Iceland from 2015 onwards, transcripts with graduation are available in both English and Icelandic on My pages at island.is. The transcript includes all completed courses and grades.
Other confirmations and transcripts, along with course descriptions, are issued by the University Centre Service Desk. A paper certificate can be collected at the Service Desk upon presentation of a valid ID.
Electronically sealed confirmations that are not available through self-service can be requested with a web form.
Processing usually takes 1 - 3 business days, but it may take longer during peak periods, such as the beginning of the semester. It is important that the request is clear and specifies exactly which document is being requested.
Each document issued by the Service Desk costs ISK 350, except for course descriptions, which cost ISK 450. They are available in Icelandic or English in the following formats:
- as an electronically sealed PDF document
- as a printed, signed, and stamped paper copy
