You can find reading lists on the course page in Ugla, Canvas, or the course catalogue. If no textbook is listed, the teacher will provide information on reading materials needed no later than in the first class.
Teachers sometimes reserve books and reference material for a course in the reference section at the National and University Library of Iceland. Students can use the material on location or borrow it for a limited time.
Buying textbooks
Most courses at the University of Iceland use textbooks which you can usually get at one of the following locations:
- The Student Bookstore (Bóksala stúdenta) offers most textbooks and other study materials at the University of Iceland. The bookstore also organizes a book exchange market during the autumn and spring semesters.
- Úlfljótur operates a bookstore for law students in the basement of Lögberg.
- The classifieds section in Ugla has a book exchange market where students can request used books and promote books for sale. They can also use the Facebook pages of student organizations for the same purpose.
