Adding a multi-factor authentication method

We encourage everyone to set up at least two ways for multi-factor authentication. The reason is that if one method does not work (phone is lost, new phone, phone number is changed, etc.) then you can choose another method to authenticate.

  1.  Open mfa.hi.is in a browser and sign in.
  2. Click "Security Info" and select "Add method":MFA add method 1.png
  3. Here you select the method you want to add. NOTE that you can have more than one phone number and more than one authentication app as a method. There is no limit to how many methods you can set up:add method 2.png
  4. Once you have followed the steps that follow, which vary depending on which method you add, you can decide which method should be the default:MFA add method 3.png
