Rooms at Saga

The University of Iceland offers several rooms on campus for short-term use by visiting scholars. A total of 27 rooms are located on the third floor of the north wing in the building called Saga at Hagatorg.

Only the University of Iceland staff can book rooms for guests directly through the online booking engine. The minimum rental period is three nights.

Rooms and Shared Facilities

The rooms

All rooms accommodate two people, feature a private bathroom, and include bed linen and towels. There is no reception on site, and rooms are not cleaned or bed linen changed during the stay. However, cleaning and extra linen can be ordered on weekdays for a fee, see Payment and Prices.

Guests are expected to keep their rooms clean and in good condition throughout their stay. Windows should be opened regularly to prevent moisture from building up.

For longer stays where no cleaning has been requested, a brief check of the room is conducted every 10–14 days.

Wireless internet is included, and each room has its own router. There is also a router in the shared kitchen, which all guests can use.
