Residence and work permits for staff

International Staff Services welcomes newly recruited international researchers, teachers, and doctorate students to the University of Iceland. Specialized assistance and practical support are offered to all incoming international staff and their families on various issues related to moving to Iceland. They also provide assistance with the renewal of work permits and the application process for students hired by the University of Iceland.

Work permits - Non EEA/EFTA staff and students

Foreign nationals from a country outside of the EEA or EFTA must apply for and already have received a work permit before commencing work. International Staff Services provides assistance with the renewal of work permits. Assistance is also provided for students who are hired by the University.
