Record a meeting
When creating the Teams meeting, you can select "Record and transcribe automatically" to have Teams automatically record the meeting:
If you want to start a recording after the meeting has started, then press "More" > "Record and transcribe" > "Start recording":
Locating the recording
Recorded meetings in Teams get automatically saved to the meeting holder's OneDrive under "Recordings". The recording is saved for 60 days, after which it will be deleted if not copied elsewhere.
If a channel is selected in the meeting invite, the recording will be saved to the group's files in SharePoint. The recordings can be located under Files > Documents > [Channel] > Recordings:
Sharing the recording
The recording can be shared by right-clicking on it and selecting "Share", "Copy Link", dragging the recording to another folder or by selecting "Download" if saved in a Teams folder or if it is opened through OneDrive in the web browser.
Uploading the recording to Canvas
It is possible to upload the recording to the Canvas course through Panopto.
- Go to the panopto tab in the canvas course and select "+Create" → "Upload media". It is also possible to upload it directly through Panopto, but make sure to choose the correct course folder:
- You only need to select the folder and finish uploading it. A status update appears at the bottom of the upload window:
