Support Services for Students

Students with physical disabilities, learning difficulties (for example dyslexia), neurodevelopmental disorders (for example ADHD, autism), or chronic illnesses that might affect their learning, have a right to certain accommodations in their studies and exams.

To receive accommodation in exams, such as extended time, for example, you need to hand in documents or a diagnosis from a specialist and submit an application to your Ugla.

  • The deadline to apply for accommodation is 1 October for the autumn semester and 1 March for the spring semester.

You can book an appointment with the University's Student Counselling Centre online and/or send inquiries about disability services via email at urraedi@hi.is.
