Exam periods can cause significant stress for students. The university offers several resources for example to help with learning difficulties or to manage exam anxiety.
Academic Counselling
The University of Iceland’s Student Counsellors provide advice and support for studies. Improved study techniques can reduce stress and prevent anxiety.
If you need assistance in your studies, no matter the nature, you can book an appointment with a counsellor. UISCC also offers helpful tips and strategies to improve your study and exam skills.
Extended Exam Time
Students with learning difficulties and/or exam anxiety can request an extended exam time with the Student Counselling Centre. See Disability Services.
Psychological Services
Students who need help with working on psychological difficulties, such as exam anxiety, can book an appointment with the university's Psychological Services via email at salfraedingar@hi.is. The service is located on the 3rd floor of Háskólatorg.
Psychological counselling is also provided by master's students in clinical psychology at the Student Psychology Clinic.
