Academic Counselling

The University of Iceland's Student Counsellors offer guidance and support for students. Developing effective study techniques can help reduce stress and prevent anxiety.

If you feel you could use some support with your studies, whatever the reason, you can book an appointment with a counsellor. The Student Counselling and Career Centre also provides helpful resources on study habits and exam preparation.

Extended Exam Time

Students with learning difficulties and/or exam anxiety can request an extended exam time with the Student Counselling Centre. See Disability Services.

Psychological Services

Students who need support with psychological challenges, such as exam anxiety, can book an appointment with the University's Psychological Services by emailing salfraedingar@hi.is. The service is located on the 3rd floor of the University Centre.

Psychological counselling is also available from master's students in clinical psychology at the Student Psychology Clinic.
