IREI's HPC supercomputing environment consists of several specialised compute clusters, each tailored to different needs in computational research and scientific data processing:
- Elja — designed for large-scale computational research and GPU-accelerated processing.
- Mímir — a cluster made up of fewer nodes, each with more memory, intended for memory-intensive workloads.
- Dyngja — consists of two compute nodes and is primarily designed to support demanding computation in geodetic research.
- Stefnir — a specialised system well-suited for smaller jobs, faster turnaround, and short wait times.
- Jötunn — a smaller, older system used primarily for teaching HPC system usage.
