Create a private Teams channel

You can create private channels for Teams that are only accessible to specific team members. The private channel also gets a private SharePoint folder.

1. Click on the three dots (...) next to the team and select "Add channel":
2. Give the channel a name. It is optional to write a description.
3. Under "Choose channel type", select "Private":
4. Select "Create".
5. You can now add participants to the channel. You can only add people that are already members of the team:
